I had a wonderful experience purchasing my Leica SL3 from Leica Chicago. Jacques and the team were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the process. They took the time to answer my questions, walk me through the options, and make sure I felt confident in the purchase. You can tell they genuinely care about the Leica experience, not just the sale. Jacques followed up afterward as well, which was a really nice touch. I’m excited to get out and start shooting with the SL3, and I’ll definitely be returning to Leica Chicago for future gear, advice, and support. If you're into photography, cameras, birding, or simply want a cool experience, then I'd recommend visiting the brand new Chicago Leica store. It's a beautiful space showcasing historical Leica ephemera, the newest Leica gear, and works of local artists. The staff are immensely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, allowing you to handle any of their items in store for a hands on experience. It is place designed for functional luxury without the snobbery sometimes associated with Leica users. Whether you're a long-time fan or first time user, the new space is worth the visit. ~ Norris L

Strolled in to the store the day after the soft opening and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and enjoyed the exhibit of local photographers. The store is very nicely laid out and while I was pondering a Leica Q I only walked away with a shutter button for my M6. A big thank you to Allie who showed me around and engaged in conversation around photography. I would definitely recommend people stop by if even to check out the art work and chat with the knowledgeable staff. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Chicago. ~ Hector R

Great store to explore with excellent service the moment you walk in with security. Outside of cameras/lenses/watches there is also a small "theater", upstairs gallery. A bit out of my price range (not advocating for reduced prices -- its obviously a premium product )but definitely aspirational. Customer service was how I like it -- ask if I need anything and keep it pushing. Highly recommend a visit and if you can afford it, perhaps buying a camera! ~ Demetrius H

We went to the Leica Chicago opening day and was honestly so pleased by how welcoming the staff was. The best part is that you can just come in and explore their whole line of products without feeling any of that typical pressure to make a purchase. I’ve been curious about what this store would be since seeing the signage go up. Very cool little store with a not disclosed gallery on the second floor - it’s a small (and free!) gallery so don’t get your hopes too high, but I enjoyed my walk through. Each piece is for purchase, or at least that was the case with the initial Craig Semetko exhibit. Gallery is of course photography based, presumably photos taken with Leica cameras but there’s no specifics on each piece. Kind of an incentive to have you imagine possibilities and then buy something. A quiet space too, if you just wanna vibe out and take the light in and reflect. The staff seems extremely courteous and polite, especially those I overheard selling the cameras at little desks that were giving real estate agent. They also have little bars on each floor for some reason? ~ Edwin C
